This firm grew constantly until in 1984 it was finally acquired by the industrialist Miguel Rodríguez, a native of Cádiz, who was none other than the president of the Spanish watchmaker Lotus, owner of other watchmaking firms.

In this way, this brand was incorporated into the Festina Group, thus forming the company Festina Lotus S.A. and leaving behind the Swiss origin of the brand to begin to have that characteristic Spanish touch in each model.

This alliance clearly favored both companies, who under the name Festina Watches have been selected as the official timekeeper of the Tour de France, as well as other international cycling competitions.
