Blanco closes its stores in Spain and Portugal

Blanco, one of the favorite stores, will close a total of 43 stores in Spain and another 3 in Portugal. After arduous months of hard work, the Spanish company has been unable to overcome the economic downturn that the country is suffering, and the crisis has pushed them to declare the firm in voluntary bankruptcy. A piece of news that does not go unnoticed by us and that is why we want to tell you about it.

We recently heard the news that Blanco will close 43 stores in Spain and 3 in Portugal. The Spanish firm directed by Bernardo Blanco, which has around 245 stores in 23 different countries, has filed for voluntary bankruptcy this very month of June.

Gordon Brothers is developing a program that will alleviate Blanco’s immediate stock issues and will be able to ensure that most stores remain open. However, Mr. Brothers’ plan will see a series of store closures with immediate liquidation of stocks.

For his part, Bernardo Blanco has commented: “We are firmly determined to minimize the sacrifices required of our workers, suppliers, creditors and customers”, added Blanco, who assures that the objective is to return to being profitable, generate employment and continue to be a world reference in the fashion sector”.

It is a pity that one of the leading stores in Spain, more for women’s fashion than for men, has closed some of its stores.
